Bridge Technologies’ VB273 Intelligent Satellite Switch Now Available for L-band or IF

First seen at IBC 2013, the VB273 monitors two signals from dual production chains and provides intelligent backup switching based on Bridgetech’s advanced ETR290 analysis functionality and a sophisticated automatic decision engine that compares error condition results against user-defined rules.

Previous generations of switching solution have offered limited functionality, but the VB273 system’s intelligence is based on the technology developed in Bridge Technologies’ digital media monitoring systems. The VB273’s powerful analysis and standalone decision capabilities make it the most comprehensive and versatile redundancy switching solution now available for satellite applications.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer the VB273 in two versions now, making it accessible to the entire satellite market,” said Bridge Technologies’ Chairman Simen Frostad.

“The quality of the ETR analysis engine and the ability to construct sophisticated rules to inform the system’s autonomous switching decisions make the VB273 a big advance for any provider relying on signals from satellite.”
